At the age of 14, San Francisco born Jason Goldwatch began putting together videos for local musicians, unwittingly starting down the path to developing his own unique and innovative style of filmmaking. A student of the San Francisco High School of the Arts, and then later at the coveted Cal Arts, Goldwatch continued to fine tune his skills. Soon after his move to L.A, Jason began directing visuals for artists such as Dilated Peoples, Common, and Kool Keith. It’s work such as these that led Jason to become the youngest ever to sign to Spike Jonze’s Satellite Films. Since then Goldwatch has directed videos for artists such as Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, The Roots, Nas, Pusha T and Tyler the Creator. He also has directed national commercials for brands such as Microsoft, Toyota, and Google. Jason also edits and scores all of his own work including WXW, and is a member of the audio/visual performance group “THE SEX PIXELS” along side The Alchemist and Dj Q-Bert.
Similar to his dude-bro, 13thWitness, Jason is known for more than just his talents in motion, still and sound. He has a particular blend of humor, wit, and charm that leaves an impression on every individual that crosses his path.
